Visa Poker Deposit Method Overview

Visa is the most widely accepted, commonly held credit card in the entire world. Credit card deposits are the most common way to deposit money at online poker rooms. However, US players are often met with difficulty, if not downright refusal, when attempting to deposit at an online poker room with their Visa credit card. At Absolute Poker, this is rarely an issue.

Visa, and credit cards in general, are the most secure way to transfer money online. Visa is safe and instant, and preferred by most members of Absolute Poker, US residents and otherwise.

Visa Account Information

Obtaining a Visa card is a relatively simple process. Most US citizens are offered their first Visa card around the age of 16-18, so by the time you're 21 (legal gambling age in the USA), chances are, you already have one. If you do not have a Visa credit card, simply contact Visa and apply for one. Unless you have a terrible credit rating, you should have no trouble getting a Visa card within a few weeks or sooner.

If you do not have, or cannot get, a Visa credit card, try asking your bank for a checking card with the Visa logo. This is essentially an ATM card that is linked directly to your bank account, but can be used just like a Visa credit card at physical and online merchants. The only difference is that you are not given a credit limit, but rather access to the funds already in your checking account.

A third option is to purchase a Visa prepaid/gift card. This can often be purchased from your bank as well. It works just like a credit card, but is limited to its pre-paid amount. There is no fee for purchasing a Visa gift card. The amount you pay is the amount on the card.

How To Use Visa At Absolute Poker

Visa is the simplest way to make a deposit at Absolute Poker. Simply login to your Absolute Poker account and click your way to the cashier. Choose to make a deposit, then select Credit Card from the options menu. You will be asked to fill out a short form.

Select Visa for the type of credit card, then fill in the Visa card number (16-digits) and expiration date. You will also be asked to supply the 3-digit Credit Card Verification Number (CVN), found on the back of your Visa card.

Finally, select the amount you wish to deposit and submit the payment. Within moments (literally a few seconds), your deposit is confirmed and ready for use at Absolute Poker. The minimum deposit is $10, max $750 per deposit (daily max $750, weekly max $2,500, monthly max $4,000).

Visa is not a viable withdrawal method for players at Absolute Poker.
